Forest and Fungi: An Ecological Experience!

 

Let's step into the forest together, there are so many exciting things to discover. Using all of our senses, we'll explore the woodland in search of elusive mushrooms and other fascinating Fungi. As we go, we'll talk about the big picture and how the many organisms in the forest relate. Using magnifiers and a small microscope will give us a closer look at some of the beautiful structures that are often unseen because of their size. This is an intergenerational program; children are closer to the ground and often see specimens that adults walk right by. Of course, we'll talk about safety and attempt to answer all your mushroom questions!
